What's the trick?

Trick training is a fun and effective way to communicate with your pet.

A trick can be something as simple as sit or as complicated as getting you a drink from the fridge.

Some of my favorite benefits of teaching dogs tricks is that you really see the handler and dog having a great time. Teaching your dog how to do a trick really helps you bond with your dog. When you teach your dog something new, it strengthens your relationship and your communication skills!

Teaching your dog tricks can be useful in your every day life.

Putting barking on cue and then teaching your dog "quiet" is a great way to curb constant barking.

Having your fearful dog perform tricks can help boost their confidence and put them in a better mood.

I'm a huge fan of trick training and as a dog trainer I believe it makes you a much better trainer. It improves your timing and coordination. When you think about it, obedience commands are all just tricks anyways. So get to it and start teaching your dogs some tricks!

Don't know where to start? If you're local in Miami, I'll be hosting a trick-dog workshop on Oct. 29th from 9am-1pm. If you're not, follow our youtube channel for some trick tutorials!
